How a marketing brief actually runs

The level decides part of the workflow. The bulk of it is the same. Whether it is a brand manager in Atlanta or a CMO retained in San Francisco, the steps stay steady.

1. Marketing-aware brief

We come into the call ready. We know the difference between a B2B demand-gen leader and a consumer brand director. We know what a fractional CMO looks like and when one is the right choice. We do not waste your call asking the basics.

2. Comp calibration against the live market

Every slate is calibrated against current US marketing comp data and what we are seeing on the desk this month. SF differs from NYC, public-market differs from PE-backed. If the band looks low, we tell you before we start.

3. Vetted, ranked slate

Three to six candidates per brief, properly vetted, with our written notes. Right-to-work, references, portfolio outcomes and motivation, all confirmed before introduction.

4. Offer support and onboarding

We coordinate the offer, manage counter-offer pressure, line up start dates, and check in on day 7, 30 and 90.
